Boarding

Shadow

When you have to go out of town, one of your first concerns might be where to board your dog or cat. When you begin searching different dog boarding facilities, it doesn’t take long to realize that not only can boarding your dog be expensive, but in a lot of cases, your pet is confined to a kennel for most of the time.

At Four Paws, our philosophy is simple: we provide a “home away from home” for your dog or cat. Each dog that is boarded at Four Paws has its own kennel (we do have some shared kennels available for “brothers” and “sisters” if pet owners prefer that option).  Dogs stay in their kennels at night, but they have freedom to play indoors and outdoors all day long under supervision. There are no additional or hidden costs for play time! It’s included with the price you pay for boarding. Not only does this make your dog happy, but you can feel good knowing that your pet is receiving a lot of additional attention and play time with no added cost to you!

Our kennels are very spacious and clean, and some of them even have windows. We also provide basic bedding for our boarders. Dogs are fed in their individual kennels, which helps prevent dog fights over food. Food can be provided by the owner, but if not, Four Paws provides Iams and Pedigree to its boarders. Fresh water is available at all times for dogs. Some pets need medication, and that is no problem (and no additional charge)! All pet medical needs are strictly adhered to, and administered medications are included with the regular boarding fee.

We offer:

  • Kennel rooms for small dogs
  • Kennel rooms for medium/large/extra large dogs
  • Soundproof rooms
  • 365 days per year!

Doggy Interview Process

We all love our pets, and our pets love us! At Four Paws, we ask each new pet to go through an interview process in order to see that the new dog’s temperament will mix well with other dogs and that it is friendly with other dogs and our staff.

During the 10-15 minute interview, we introduce the new pet to one of our regulars in a controlled environment. You will be asked to fill out an application which has behavioral questions regarding your dog’s temperament. In addition, shot records must be current (including Bordetella) and pets must be treated for fleas and ticks.
